Project Meeting at Birmingham

University of Birmingham hosted a meeting of all of the INSAFEDARE project partners on 21-22 March at their picturesque Edgbaston Campus. The project meeting included discussions on the best approaches to be used to engage various stakeholders outside of the project as the project innovations are developed, and in particular medical device manufacturers, European Notified Bodies and international standards developing organisations regulatory bodies. Key elements of the project methodology were also agreed by the partners including stakeholder requirements capture and analysis procedures, candidate data sets of various sizes and medical application domains to be used in the project, along with the KPIs and performance measures that will monitored. Each of the R&D partners provided progress reports on their investigations in the previous weeks and a workshop to agree and prioritise the requirements that are driving the development tasks was conducted, along with further coordination of contributions to the first set of deliverables coming due in April.
