The INSAFEDARE project participated in the 24th International Conference on Informatics, Management and Technology in Healthcare (ICIMTH 2026), held in Athens, Greece, from 3–5 July 2026. The conference brought together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and digital health innovators from across Europe to discuss the latest advances in health informatics and healthcare technologies.

As part of its dissemination activities, INSAFEDARE engaged with the international scientific community by presenting the project's vision, objectives, and innovative solutions designed to strengthen the resilience of healthcare organisations against evolving cyber threats.

Increasing Project Visibility

Throughout the conference, INSAFEDARE was prominently featured through dedicated dissemination materials made available to all participants.

An INSAFEDARE project poster was displayed during the conference, providing attendees with an overview of the project's objectives, consortium, and expected impact on strengthening synthetic data preparedness in the healthcare sector.

In addition, an informational leaflet introducing the project and its key outcomes was included in the official participants' conference folders, ensuring broad visibility among delegates from academia, healthcare institutions, industry, and public authorities.

These dissemination activities offered an excellent opportunity to introduce the project to a diverse audience interested in secure digital health transformation and European cybersecurity initiatives.

Interactive Workshop and Tool Demonstration

A key highlight of INSAFEDARE's participation was the workshop and live demonstration session, held on Saturday, 4 July 2026.

During the session, project partners presented the INSAFEDARE toolkit, demonstrating how its integrated solutions support healthcare organisations in identifying vulnerabilities, assessing cyber risks, improving preparedness, and enhancing incident response capabilities.

Participants gained valuable insights into the practical application of the project's tools and explored how INSAFEDARE contributes to building a more resilient healthcare ecosystem through evidence-based cybersecurity approaches.

The interactive format encouraged discussion, allowing attendees to exchange ideas, provide feedback, and explore future opportunities for collaboration.

Building Connections Across the European Digital Health Community

ICIMTH 2026 provided an excellent platform for networking with experts in health informatics, cybersecurity, clinical practice, research, and policymaking. The conference enabled meaningful discussions around the growing cybersecurity challenges facing healthcare organisations and highlighted the importance of collaborative European initiatives in addressing these issues.

The positive engagement with conference participants reinforced the relevance of the INSAFEDARE project and its mission to deliver practical, scalable, and innovative solutions that support safer digital healthcare services across Europe.

Looking Ahead

Participation in ICIMTH 2026 represents another important milestone in INSAFEDARE's dissemination journey. By sharing its progress with the international health informatics community, the project continues to raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity in healthcare while fostering collaboration among researchers, healthcare providers, technology developers, and policymakers.

As the project progresses, INSAFEDARE will continue presenting its results at leading scientific conferences and stakeholder events, promoting the adoption of innovative cybersecurity solutions that contribute to a more secure and resilient European healthcare landscape.
